I was born and raised in Vermont and earned my Bachelor of Social Work with a concentration in Children and Families from college in New Hampshire. After graduating, I began my career as a home visitor with Head Start, where I spent more than four years supporting children and families. Looking for a new adventure, my husband, our dog, and I moved out of state for a few years. During that time, we welcomed our first child into our family. As our family grew from two to three (or four, if you count our pup!), we knew it was time to come back home to Vermont to be closer to family and continue putting down roots.

I have a special connection to the Parent Child Center network because I was actually a PCC kid myself. My family received wraparound support through the Addison County Parent Child Center, and I still remember looking up to the family support workers who helped us. Their kindness and dedication inspired me to pursue a career in social work so I could provide that same support and encouragement to other families.

Today, I am one of the Family Support Program Managers at Milton Family Community Center. In this role, I coordinate and facilitate our parent playgroups on Mondays and Fridays, creating welcoming spaces where families can connect, learn, and build community. I am also MFCC’s Child Integrated Services (CIS) Strong Families Vermont home visitor.

Home visiting allows me to partner with pregnant individuals and families with children from birth through age six. Every visit is individualized to meet each family’s unique strengths, goals, and needs. Whether it’s offering parenting support, connecting families with community resources, or providing case management, my goal is to help families feel supported and empowered.

Home visiting is one of my favorite parts of my work because families invite me into one of the most personal parts of their lives their homes. Being welcomed into that space allows us to build meaningful, trusting relationships over time. I have been providing home visiting and case management services for over 10 years, and I’ve worked with children and families in a variety of settings since I was 16, including as a nanny, summer camp counselor, and early childhood educator.

Supporting families during some of the most important years of their children’s lives is truly an honor. I feel incredibly grateful to do work that once made such a positive impact on my own family, and I strive every day to provide that same sense of support, connection, and hope to the families I serve.
