In recent years she has devoted her time to leading Burlington’s Janet S. Munt Family Room into a new chapter as an independent agency. She knows firsthand the importance of supporting families with young children, and is passionate about supporting the important work that happens in parent child centers. She likes to spend time gardening, hiking, singing, and contradancing with her husband and two young daughters. Please join us in giving Sophia a warm welcome to the Milton community!

Due to low staffing next week, our front office staff will be unavailable to take donations on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday AFTER 4PM, and on Tuesday and Friday AFTER 3PM.

The Yellowjackets Fund

yellow jackets

The Yellowjackets Fund is a new program for Milton families with school age children who have been thrown into crisis by the coronavirus pandemic. This new fund is being launched by the Milton Family Community Center (MFCC) to help Milton families get through this unprecedented threat to their well-being. MFCC is ready to receive donations for the substantial needs of Milton families. The increase in food assistance at Vermont’s foodbanks and in applications for 3Squares tell the blunt truth about what families are facing as do the tens of thousands seeking unemployment. The Yellowjackets Fund will be a direct source of support for families to address food insecurity, health care, and any basic needs creating a bridge from this crisis to the far side when we can all get back on our feet. A clear-eyed look at the crisis now indicates this crossing will last for some time making the need for sustained support apparent and essential.

Make a Donation Now

Our capacity to see the suffering of others as our own is what will bring us through the coronavirus pandemic with our communities intact and perhaps even strengthened by that simple act of giving whatever we can. Just as we saw Governor’s send ventilators to states with the greatest need, we need to share our resources to the best of our ability with the families we know need it most right now.

How to Donate
Make a check payable to the Milton Family Community
Center AND note in the check memo that your contribution is
for the Yellowjackets Fund and Mail to:
