Could you or someone you know use a little help getting gifts for the kids in your household this year? Milton Family Community Center is here to help! Through the generosity of local families, businesses and churches, we are doing an Adopt-A-Family program right here in Milton this year!
Simply complete the form below and email it to email@example.com or return it to the center by December 6th. All names and family information will be kept strictly confidential. We will send your wishlist(s) to some helpful neighbors who will bring gifts to the United Church of Milton. You may collect your items on December 18th at the United Church (51 Main St. in Milton).
If you’d like to Adopt-A-Family, please call the center at 802-893-1457! Thanks, and Merry Christmas!
We are pleased to once again offer a Thanksgiving Meal-in-a-Bag to anyone who needs one! Each bag includes the ingredients for a special holiday dinner, as well as a Hannaford gift card to purchase a turkey or other item of your choosing. Please sign up now so we can ensure we have enough to go around!
You may fill out the form below and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org or drop it off at the front desk from 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. We also have paper copies available at the center for those who would prefer.
Cold weather is coming! We are one again collecting and distributing children’s coats and winter gear including hats, mittens, boots and snowpants.
To donate clean gear in good condition, contact Brenda 802-529-4142 or email@example.com.
To receive a coat and other winter gear, please complete an application by October 22nd. The application is online (below) and available on paper at the center.
Our monthly program for parents of young children continues Wednesday October 13th at 5:30pm. Join us as we play with pumpkins, share dinner and connect with other families on our playground!
MFCC provides dinner and childcare so parents can enjoy the evening and spend some time getting to know one another.
When the weather gets colder, we’ll need to move this gathering online, so please join us for the last in-person gathering before the chill sets in. To RSVP, contact Mary Murray at firstname.lastname@example.org or 802-893-1457 ext 109.
For every child in our community who would otherwise go without, MFCC wants to fill a new backpack with new school supplies. It is our goal to make sure every child in our community starts this school year with what they need for a great new year of learning. The challenge now is to gather enough school supplies to put into each backpack that we will give to a child in need.
Donated school supplies can be dropped of to MFCC between 8 AM-4PM Monday-Friday. The last day to donate is August 16th.
Need assistance with school supplies for your school-age child(ren)? Fill out this application, and drop it off at the Community Center, or email a copy to email@example.com.
Registration is August 8-16. Pick up of backpacks is by appointment only between 8/18 — 8/20.

Contact Executive Director Sophia Donforth (firstname.lastname@example.org) with questions, or to set up a tour and interview for a position on the Board of Directors.
We are loving the warm, sunny weather that June has provided, and hope you’re enjoying the season as well. We are excited to see Vermonters reemerging from the pandemic and getting reengaged with our community. We’d love to use this time to get a feel for how we are doing, and see if you have any ideas on how we do better. Please take a few minutes to complete this Summer Survey for MFCC Families. We appreciate your feedback and input!
Meet MFCC’s new Executive Director, Sophia Donforth! She has worked as a middle school teacher, musician, office manager, and community organizer. In recent years she has devoted her time to leading Burlington’s Janet S. Munt Family Room into a new chapter as an independent agency. She knows firsthand the importance of supporting families with young children, and is passionate about supporting the important work that happens in parent child centers. She likes to spend time gardening, hiking, singing, and contradancing with her husband and two young daughters. Please join us in giving Sophia a warm welcome to the Milton community!
